Lesson #18: A framework for evolution

We all want to evolve. Don’t we?

If I’ve been judgemental of others at all in my life (because I’ve felt an almost inability to judge others) then it could be for a lack of desire to evolve. A sense of satisfaction with the way things are was something I couldn’t comprehend. We must improve .. develop .. evolve. We must want more than whatever it is we have. We cannot simply accept the status quo. This sense of profound dissatisfaction did not allow for lightheartedness. This was serious.

I needed to understand why we were here. My way of finding out was to study hard. Everything possible. Every element of life was a learning opportunity. If I wasn’t learning I felt I was wasting my life.

This quest for meaning spurred me on. It gave me a sense of purpose. It opened up lots of learning opportunities, lots of people, lots of perspectives and lots of experiences. I lived with the belief that one day, when I was an old woman, it would all make sense.

Now I’m 51 and perhaps I’ve hit the old woman status, though I’m feeling lighter, freer and in many ways younger than ever. And the clarity and meaning I’ve been searching for has arrived.

A Framework for Creative Evolution

I have deconstructed my journey, my lessons, and my contribution into a five part framework that offers a creative way to get unstuck and move forward in life.

My biggest challenge has been the feeling and experience of being stuck.

Feeling stuck sucks. It sucks your life force. It is part of a cycle of hopelessness and despair. It feels like dying. And it IS a form of dying .. because when we’re stuck we aren’t changing or growing, and we are, effectively, dying.

Helping myself to help others

Since clarifying this framework I have started to shift that stuck feeling for myself. I have a process for finding meaning, purpose and action. I am inspired to transform.

As I break through invisible barriers in my business and myself I am creating offers that offer inspiration, empowerment and joy.

The framework in a nutshell

The five elements for creative evolution are:

  1. Curiosity
  2. Connection
  3. Courage
  4. Consciousness
  5. Creation

I will describe the framework in more detail in a future lesson.

What is an area of life where you feel stuck? Let me know and I will offer you a solution.

Thanks!
