Lesson #71: You are the source of life in drag

During my morning breathwork practice today, my teacher, Scott Schwenk said:

“You are the source of life in drag”

I’m in something like my fiftieth round of this five day breathwork journey, Ecstatic Breathwork, so these words are familiar.

And right now, I feel a bit like a drag queen. I took myself off for a pampering and got The Eyes Have It treatment, after which I now have what feel like clown eyebrows that I find shocking to look at.

And tonight, I have a social night. Five Rhythms dancing and possibly dinner out and a Bling Bling event at the pub. It’s cold and I’m contemplating doing it all in my ugg boots.

My teacher Onami said on her Instagram today:

I no longer think about what other people think of me. That’s my boundary.
#NowYoureInBusiness #AUTHENTICITY

And I like that. I’m happy to enter DGAF land and just BE whoever I am — even if that means being someone I’m not. In fact, since I am the source of life in drag and since I’m still in the process of my alchemical transformation, it’s as good a time as ever to be a clown.

Now it’s almost time for me to go move through those five rhythms.

See you on the other side.
